The Beverly Branch of the Chicago Public Library, in collaboration with The Peace Center at Bethlehem, invites you to join us for an evening of connection, reflection and dialogue as we discuss Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson. **Just Mercy** follows Bryan Stevenson’s fight to free Walter McMillian—an innocent man sentenced to death—while exposing the deep racial and economic injustices embedded in the American legal system. For people drawn to restorative justice, the book is powerful because it shows how dignity, empathy, and accountability can transform not only individual lives but the systems that have long failed to deliver true healing and fairness.
